The agency is happy to announce another 8-week series of Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction trainings facilitated by John Elfers, PhD! The MBSR Training is open to pre-licensed, and licensed therapists. It is also open to clients or community members. Please feel free to share this flyer and spread the word.
The classes start Wednesday, April 12th to May 31st (2017) 6:00-8:30pm – PLUS Saturday, May 20th “Day of Mindfulness” from 9:00am to 4:00pm (location in SLO and specific details available upon registration).
John Elfers has over 30 years of experience with meditation and mindfulness practices, yoga, and has extensive teaching experience. He’s currently an MBSR Teacher-in-Training with the UCSD Mindfulness-Based Professional Training Institute.
Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) is an 8-week training program in which participants learn to become mindful through meditation practices, gentle movement, mindful yoga, present moment awareness, and deep relaxation. Participants are expected to commit to a daily mindfulness practice to deepen the experience.
